Welcome to my corner of the world! I’m Sara Spaugh, and I’m thrilled to share a bit about my journey with you.

I am originally from the charming small town of Sunbury, Ohio. Growing up, I spent countless hours playing tennis, and my family cherished our annual vacations, making memories that would last a lifetime.

My educational journey began in Ohio, where I earned degrees in social work and Spanish. I then pursued my passion for helping others at UNC Chapel Hill, where I obtained a Master’s degree in School Counseling. This path led me to a wonderful opportunity in another small town, Shallotte, in Brunswick County, North Carolina. I became a school counselor at West Brunswick High School and found immense joy in supporting the students and their families.

Outside of work, I loved spending time at the beach, riding the waves, and playing tennis at the Ocean Isle Beach park on Old Georgetown Road. It was here that I met Andrew Spaugh, and our shared love for tennis turned into a beautiful friendship, and eventually, a deep and enduring love. Andrew and I married and are blessed with two wonderful daughters.

Andrew’s passion for real estate photography led him to start Kahunaphoto.com. He often remarked on how my skills as a counselor could be invaluable in the real estate world, helping clients navigate the personal and emotional aspects of buying or selling a home. Inspired by his insights, I made the leap into real estate and discovered a new passion. The skills I honed as a counselor—empathy, patience, and personalized support—seamlessly translated into helping clients in the real estate market.

Today, I am dedicated to helping families find their dream homes and navigate the complexities of buying and selling properties. Whether you’re a first-time homebuyer or looking to sell, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.
